Goodwill Industries of Denver has a highly successful career development program that assists adults and their families in Adams and Arapahoe counties. Each year Goodwill helps over 4,500 adults who are on government assistance get the job training and job placement assistance they need to get off welfare. Goodwill helps individuals receiving welfare or county assistance to secure employment or long-term benefits. Through career classes, job assessments, job training programs, job placement and individual support, Goodwill’s experienced job counselors will help individuals explore what motivates them and start them on a journey towards job success.

Goodwill provides employment support and services to assist participants in moving beyond a job to developing a career path. Participants receive continuous support as they participate in career preparation classes, job skills training, on the job training, and career related training programs.

Goodwill helps participants to advance their careers through workforce training programs. These programs include specific job training, such as computer classes and CDL or medical certification. Participants in this program also receive resources for families, including childcare, housing options, health insurance, financial planning and tax preparation.
